Basmati rice, grown in the Himalayas, is a staple of elegant dining. This recipe uses Kinder Cracked Pepper and Lemon Seasoning to add a unique flavor, not often associated with rice. Served alongside the main course, this Lemon Pepper Basmati Rice dish will be sure to impress your guests, and have them coming back for seconds.

Ingredients

½ Cup of Basmati Rice

1 Tbsp Olive Oil

1 Tbsp Kinder’s Cracked Pepper & Lemon Seasoning

1¼ Cup Water
Directions
Add water and olive oil to sauce pot over high heat until it begins to boil
Once it begins to boil immediately add dry rice and seasoning to sauce pot. Stir seasoning in with a spoon, cover pot and turn heat to low.
Set timer for 17 minutes
Once timer finishes, turn off stove and allow the rice to sit for 5 minutes. (Do not uncover pot)
Serve and enjoy!
Recipe Note
Cook time may need adjusting by a minute or two depending on the stove top.
Do Not soak rice prior to cooking.
Uncovering the pot prematurely can result in undercooked rice.
