Do you find yourself wondering how to cook the perfect steak? Look no further than this Fillet Mignon recipe that is sure to delight. Cook the steak, slice it up, and add it to a salad, a bowl of corn, a rice bowl, or eat it as-is!
Ingredients

Coarse Sea Salt

Garlic Powder

Black pepper

Butter

1 Center Cut Fillet Mignon
Directions
Preheat your oven to 475F
When oven is preheated, take your fillet mignon and generously sprinkle Salt, Black Pepper, and Garlic Powder on both sides
Heat a stainless steel skillet and add a tablespoon of butter
Once the butter starts sizzling add the fillet mignon and let it cook for 2 minutes without touching
After 2 minutes flip the steak over and let cook for another 2 minutes
Grab a heat proof oven mit, and put the skillet into the preheated oven for 8 minutes. You can flip the steak over 4 minutes in.
Using a heat proof oven mit take the frying pan out and place it on the stove top. WARNING!!! THE SKILLET WILL BE HOT DO NOT TOUCH IT OR GRAB IT WITH YOUR BARE HANDS
Place the steak on a cutting board and let it rest for 10 minutes
Using an oven mit slowly place the HOT skillet under warm running water and move it to cold to cool the skillet down gradually. BE CAREFULE SKILLET WILL STILL BE HOT
After 10 minutes slice the steak and enjoy!

**BE CAREFUL NOT TO TOUCH THE HOT SKILLET AFTER REMOVING IT FROM THE OVEN**
You can adjust cook times depending on the level of doneness you require.
